Thread: The question that flummoxed the great orator.

  1. The question that flummoxed the great orator.

I had to laugh while reading this - the comments are hilarious.

I'm sure world leaders are wondering by now - how did he ever get
    elected.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009...inson-question

Nick Robinson: "A question for you both, if I may. The prime minister has repeatedly blamed the United States of America for causing this crisis. France and Germany both blame Britain and America for causing this crisis. Who is right? And isn't the debate about that at the heart of the debate about what to do now?" Brown immediately swivels to leave Obama in pole position. There is a four-second delay before Obama starts speaking [THANKS FOR NOTHING, GORDY BABY. REMIND ME TO HANG YOU OUT TO DRY ONE DAY.] Barack Obama: "I, I, would say that, er ... pause [I HAVEN'T A CLUE] ... if you look at ... pause [WHO IS THIS NICK ROBINSON JERK?] ... the, the sources of this crisis ... pause [JUST KEEP GOING, BUDDY] ... the United States certainly has some accounting to do with respect to . . . pause [I'M IN WAY TOO DEEP HERE] ... a regulatory system that was inadequate to the massive changes that have taken place in the global financial system ... pause, close eyes [THIS IS GOING TO GO DOWN LIKE A CROCK OF **** BACK HOME. HELP]. I think what is also true is that ... pause [I WANT NICK ROBINSON TO DISAPPEAR] ... here in Great Britain ... pause [****, GORDY'S THE HOST, DON'T LAND HIM IN IT] ... here in continental Europe ... pause [**** IT, BLAME EVERYONE.] ... around the world. We were seeing the same mismatch between the regulatory regimes that were in place and er ... pause [I'VE LOST MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT AGAIN] ... the highly integrated, er, global capital markets that have emerged ... pause [I'M REALLY WINGING IT NOW].....
When you "see" all these - we are the only generation that does.

He always does this when he's speaking.....it drives me crazy! I think he is a horrible speaker!! ...what made me even sicker is that on either msn or fox news they said that he does this because he is choosing his words carefully! ugh!!!

    Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

  3. Maybe he's wearing a earpiece and someone is telling him what to say, that would explain the pauses.

Btw if you take the time to filter out the...comedy, he does in fact answer the question, and he made sense to me. Flummoxed? Hardly.

No, he does NOT answer the question! He dances around it and tries to use a plethora of words to lose the listener, his usual modus operandi. (See.... I can use big words too, but I'll bet everyone who reads this still understands my direct answer!)

Someone who knows the answer to a question may take a little time up front to gather their thoughts, but once they start speaking, the oration goes smoothly. That is nothing like king o, who obviously was at a loss.

Guys, I notice that we have here another "new" member riding in to BO's rescue. Methinks ?
Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14

Wrong, no answer but this isn't surprising. Notice the inability of BO to even complete sentences when he has no teleprompter. The comedy was in order. We have all seen BO now, flummoxed, struggling to organize thoughts. But then again, when you're filled with deception, stuttering, eye movement away from subject, pauses, are all commonplace.

Sorry, but 0 has been campaigning for over 2 years and has continued his campaign while being POTUS. You'd think he could complete a sentence in proper form without his teleprompter.

He's lost until something or someone tells him what to say.

  8. And he is supposed to be charismatic? I don't doubt that he is to many people - I just don't feel it .

.... he made sense to me.
    How sad for you.
    Flummoxed? Hardly.
Maybe clueless would be a better word to describe BHO's verbal confusion. He isn't fooling anyone many people.

Then, please, tell me what that answer was. I haven't been able to dig it out and wash it off enought to be recognizable to the question.

Yep, won't link to it since it is a blog, but a quick search of "Ronin Talgar" will bring it up.

Again I really want to congratulate you all, we're very proud of you down here in Australia, where Obama was preffered somwhere around 3 to 1. You've done really, really well.

Ronin Talgar sure does love B.O.

This masterpiece of literary brilliance can be found at the top of his site:

    I'M ASKING YOU TO BELIEVE.
Not just in my ability to bring real change
in Washington ....I'm asking you to believe
    in yours. -- Barack Obama

Obama was preffered somwhere around 3 to 1.
According to the exit polls at the local pubs?
