Pride has no conscience; and conscience has no pride.
The two won't go together, for they cannot coincide.
Like a blend of oil and water, they both refuse to mix.
What pride leaves unattended, our conscience has to fix.
While pride is great protection, by design to make us strong;
Conscience is our inner voice that tells us when we're wrong.
Which explains why "I'm Sorry" can be so difficult to say:
In conscience we can feel it; but then pride gets in the way.
It takes a wiser person to make them form a truce;
letting pride serve conscience, putting conscience then to use.![]()

My sister told me that poetry is my Spiritual gift; so I am trying to share it with others. If any of my words could help another Christian or bring someone closer to Christ, it would be a gift indeed!!

Worry looks around, sorry looks back, Faith looks up.
