    Default Protest "Hamlet 2"

I just saw a commercial for "Hamlet 2" which contains a song entitled "Rock Me Sexy Jesus." I think it's crap. I E-mailed Carmike Cinemas asking that they do not air the movie.

If you'd like to express your concern over this movie, here's the link.

I think it's crap that when somebody says "Merry Christmas" some atheist cries about it and something is done. I'd like to see things swing the other way for a change.

I was shocked and sickened when I saw that commercial. We are slandered, degraded, and even arrested if we pray in public or try to share the gospel, but they can mock our Lord and blaspheme His name all they want!

How much longer can this world last? I see the spirit of Sodom in the land. Everywhere you look, evil continues to abound. Time is short, soon Gods wrath will fall upon this evil world. Heaven only knows how much I want to go home. "Even so, come Lord Jesus."

I haven't even heard of the movie, let alone seen previews. Weird.

At least I've been warned, thanks to all of you here at RR!

The New York Times noted of the film, "It made sure to take shots at Christians, gays, Latinos, Jews, the American Civil Liberties Union and Elisabeth Shue, one of its lead actresses."

They mocked Him when he was here, they continue mocking Him now.

I looked at the trailer and it just looked stupid. It wasn't funny and seriously what can one expect from the people who make that disgusting show South Park. If the Sundance Film Festival likes it then you know it has got to be bad.

I think a movie about people who cry when they hear phrases like "Merry Christmas," "Repent," and "John 3:16" would be funny. I wonder what kind of reception that movie trailer would be?

    "One man...."

Hi, how was your shopping today.
    Not bad.
    That will be $15.56.
    Here you go.
Okay, you have yourself a happy holiday.
Thank you, Merry Christmas to you as well.

** A group of people are running through the city streets toward a large bridge, similar to the Cloverfield Trailer. The camera zooms in on a man with a sign that says "Repent."

"That nobody wants to talk about."

Hey, watch where you're going buddy! You **** ******** *****!!!!
    Oh yeah, well MERRY CHRISTMAS!
    DUDE! THAT WAS NOT COOL!

Wiki mentions a "$9 million" budget on this film ..
That has to be wrong because some 30 second commercials cost more than that to make.

people at work laughed when it came on, then they laughed harder when that "rock me sexy jesus" played they looked at me to see what reaction i would give, i was disgusted. All i said was "if this was about Mohammad billions from Islam would be declaring jihad and killing people (and wanting the people who made that mockery of their Mohammad's heads on a platter) but because its about Christ and christians don't kill people like they do over offenses its ok, funny how in our world we're supposed to be tolerant towards everyones beliefs with the exception of Christianity" they kinda shut up after that.

Sad, but true. Hollywood would never think of making a movie that would insult Mohammed and his followers. Did you hear about a novel that had to be shelved right before its American release date because critics claimed it would incite Muslim violence? I believe that book is titled "The Jewel of Medina," and it discusses Mohammed's marriage with a six-year-old girl.

I just joined RR. I, too, was really disgusted when I saw the movie trailer and the Rock Me song.

In response, I posted this YouTube reply: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trSw7AQ5nkA

Hope you get a chance to watch it. It's only 3 minutes.

    iwillnotstumble,

I think you’re to be commended for your restraint in your response; it’s good you could see that they were waiting to see your reaction; hopefully you disappointed them, but I’m sure impressed our Heavenly Father!

Part of it, I’m sure has to do with the fact that Christians make a tempting target; We’re everywhere and many people think that we’re JUST as intolerant as the Muslims and at the same time secret hypocrites of the highest order. At the same time they know that we’re not easily provoked to violence so they have no fear for their safety.

They’re looking at us with worldly eyes and some of them might even have good reasons for thinking they hate Christians and our God when they’re actually angry at the organized religion they perceive as representative of Christianity with all its attendant human failings and shortcomings.

The fact that Followers of Christ are so un-violent and yet at the same time held in such contempt should remind us of our saviors’ words:

"If they persecuted me they will persecute you... for they do not know the One who sent me." John 15:19-21

If they were "on the cutting edge" they would mock Allah and Mohammed. But then they're necks would certainly be on the cutting edge...so they've got no artistic guts, as they seem to think such mockery is their artistic right.

Messiah said that we would be hated (John 15:18-25)...and to remember that He was hated. He still is...as are we. We're in good company even as such displays of mockery are truly sickening.
