Another Call to Prayer

In the early 1990's I attended a bible conference where 3 very well publicized speakers were on hand. There were over 8,000 people in attendence to hear from these very credentialed speakers....and I being very zealous to learn ...had brought a brand new orange hi-lighter..a new note pad and a great expectancy to hear from God. During the praise n worship period..I was so caught up with how awesome it was to be in the presence of so many faithfully gaithered to want to hear from our Lord and Savior. It was amazing..no doubt about it. At the very tail end of our time of worship a lady stood up and quoted "If my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face..turn from their wicked ways ..then I the Lord will..hear their prayer and heal their land."....well as soon as she finished her quotation..the minister in charge at that point called her out and belittled her in my mind by saying ..."thank you mam..that's what I think we are trying to do here tonight!"

well the night continued and the three big name speakers taught their lessons ...I underlined verses...highlighted verses..took notes ..the whole nine yards.

a few weeks later...I was in my prayer closet and I heard this question...."remember that night?" "yes Lord" I replied...."what did brother so n so teach?" The Lord asked.

.....I couldn't remember..."well what about the second preacher..what did he say?"...again I didn't remember....."well how bout the 3rd preacher..what did he say?"..."Lord I don't remember!"....then I will never forget the next part ....."what did I say?" ....I already knew!!! "through that unknown person...you said.."IF MY PEOPLE ..WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME..WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY!!!"....The Lord spoke to me again.."THAT'S RIGHT...8,000 people gathered together in MY NAME and I SPOKE but those men were more worried about their OWN messages but let me ask you...WHAT IF THOSE 8,000 people had heard MY WORD and united together that night in one accord and PRAYED and SOUGHT MY FACE???"

what if 8,000 believers had spent time interceding for the laborers to go into the harvest..to pray for the lost..to stand in the gap..."if there be 50 righteous....40 righteous...30...etc..etc?" ..."Lord shake our nation"....Or what if they just truly sought His Face and He came and He did the work????....you might ask...like what? Didn't He..change Saul of Tarsus into the apostle Paul by knocking Him off his high horse.."Saul..Saul ..why do you persecute me?" blinded him and sent him to be discipled???

This is in no way discrediting the need for apostles,prophets,pastors,teachers,evangelist..not in the least

But what I heard that night in my prayer closet ...shot through my soul that in all our gaining of knowledge...may it always direct us to a personal...one on one relationship with HIM!!!!!..The Holy Spirit came to testify and Glorify Jesus Christ!...Jesus prayed in John 17:3..."this is eternal life that you may know the Father and His Son Jesus Christ whom He sent

I feel like God is calling us all to His "secret place" where He will impart His heart that none should perish. I pray He will raise up from amongst Rapture Ready ....people who will hear a call to stand up in malls, in movie theatre's, through writing letter's to family members and friends..and through a brokenness from above be poured out as a drink offering ...messenger's of the end time call "behold the bridegroom comes...REPENT!"


I am a zealot by nature..forgive me.....but I pray it goes way past zeal...and comes from a revelation of what is to come...like Paul Revere may we ride through our daily world's shouting from the rooftops..."Jesus is Coming"

I have very little to offer..but all I know is I am called to EXHORT anyone who will hear..."turn to Jesus and then take upon His heart and INTERCEDE"

Time is of the utmost and I feel so compelled to share ...Pray as you have never prayed....worship as you have never worshipped and witnessed as you have never witnessed...and do it all in LOVE....Knowing the Terror of the Lord..BEG if you must....On some have compassion and upon others snatch as from the very flames (jude)

I absolutely agree. Just because this material isn't fresh does not make it one bit less important. Repost as necessary, since there are people arriving at this site for the first time every day! Thank you for sharing that. Its so important to know that others are having similar experiences. Goes a long way to encourage the uncertain!!!!
