Thread: Climate change = religion

    Tsk tsk Climate change = religion

    Well, I guess that now, it's official, at least for one judge in the UK:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/ear...-religion.html
    "Oir is leatsa an rioghachd, agus an cumhachd, agus a gloir, gu siorraidh, Amen." ("For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen" -- Scots Gaelic)

    Ridiculous, thats all I got to say about that...
    For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
    Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
    Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
    - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

    Ready and waiting for lift off!!
    Will it be today, Lord?

    Could see it coming from miles away. It is an old religion....worship of mother earth...goddess Gaia. Has been around time and time again....just under a different name.

    Watch. It will be classified as a religion only when it helps the climate cult member, like this guy. But if classification as a religion hurts the climate cult - such as they can't indoctrinate kids in school into it - then it will no longer be called a religion.

    You folks remember the TV Cartoon series Captain Planet? His guiding mentor was a character named "Gaia".

    Isaiah 44:6-20

    "This is what the Lord says-
    Israel's King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:

    I am the first and I am the last;
    apart from me there is no God.
    Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it.
    Let him declare and lay out before me
    what has happened since I established my ancient people,
    amd what is yet to come-
    yes, let him fortell what will come.
    Do not tremble, do not be afraid.
    Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?
    You are my witness, Is there any God besides me?
    No, there is no other Rock; I know not one."

    All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless
    Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame.
    Who shapes a god and casts an idol, which can profit him nothing?
    He and his kind will be put to shame;
    craftsmen are nothing but men.
    Let them all come together and take their stand;
    they will be brought down to terror and infamy.

    The blacksmith takes a tool
    and works with it in the coals;
    he shapes an idol with hammers,
    he forges it with the might of his arm.
    He gets hungry and loses his strength;
    he drinks no water and grows faint.
    The carpenter measures with a line
    and makes and outline with a marker;
    he roughs it out with chisels
    and marks it with compasses
    He shapes it in the form of man,
    of man in all His glory,
    that is may dwell in a shrine.
    He cut down cedars,
    or perhaps took a cypress or oak.
    He let it grow among the trees of the forest,
    or planted a pine, and the rain made it grow.
    It is man's fuel for burning;
    some of it he takes and warms himself,
    he kindles a fire and bakes bread.
    But he fashions a god and worships it;
    he makes an idol and bows down to it.
    Half of the wood he burns in the fire;
    over it he prepares his meal,
    he roasts his meat and eats his fill.
    He also warms himself and says,"Ah! I am warm; I see fire."
    From the rest he makes a god, his idol;
    he bows down to it and worships.
    He prays to it and says,
    "Save me; you are my god."
    They know nothing, they understand nothing;
    their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see,
    and their minds closed so they cannot understand.

    No one one stops to think,
    no one has the knowledge or understanding to say,
    "Half of it I used for fuel;
    I even baked bread over its coals,I roasted meat and I ate.
    Shall I make a detestable thing from what is left?
    Shall I bow down to a block of wood?
    He feeds on ashes, a deluded heart misleads him;
    he cannot save himself, or say,
    "Is not this thing in my right
    hand a lie?"
    Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5

    Ted Turner had a cartoon fashioned after environmentalism called "Captain Planet". It was unbearable to watch. I did an essay on the environmentalism movement for college. It is a religion that will not rest until mankind, or the "virus" as they would have us believe, is wiped off of "mother earth". Everyone except them. I have a book that I haven't read that sits in a box with some other ones. It's called the "Third Reich" and the back leaf says "..if Hitler were alive today, he would be at the forefront of the environmental movement." Islam is "environmentally friendly". So is Baraq o Bawmaw. Notice any patterns?

    Captain Planet was an annoying show. I remember making fun of it with a couple of classmates back in junior high.

    I always found it annoying as well. Kind of cheesy IMHO.

    You guys must be older than me, or it was on cable. But being born in 1964 I don't ever remember this show being on.

    Captain Planet, haha. I used to watch that all the time as a kid
    For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

    Even if they did, the show wouldn't do so well. Many kids are gonna find it lame since it lacks comedy or action. Even a recent cartoon made fun of the show and its lameness:

    My science teacher ALWAYS fed us that baloney. Our class all thought she was wacky we'd be like hey it's snowing how bout that "global warming" then shed say no it's "climate change" and we'd say huh I guess they were wrong and had to change the name they might change it back to "global warming" when the days get warmer we'd tell her the reason for this is summer and winter wow she would get riled up at us! Good times good times

    i beleive that the climate change is directed by the sun, and ecsessive spending to reduce carbon that plants need to survive is taking away from my potential bonuses.. so I want to sue them for expanding the recyling program they were forced to expand because of the last lawsuit. I also want to sue them for daring to recycle paper which causes more polution then making a new sheet from a tree grown specifically for paper that wouldnt have been alive unless for its purpose of being grown for paper.

    economy = instant
