AA's 11th Step states: Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

"Don't make a big deal about AA's 'prayer and meditation,'" writes pro-AA author Dick B. ... "It is nothing more than praying and studying or 'pondering' what you are reading."[1]

This is simply not so. As discussed in 'Alcoholics Anonymous and Contemplative Spirituality,'[2] advocates of contemplative spirituality are using AA and other 12 Step groups as a launching pad for their meditative practices. Nor is AA's contemplative potential a new thing. As a treatment website notes, "AA and 12 Step Fellowship have known for years that spirituality or some form of contemplative meditation is an important part of treatment."[3] (italics mine)

AA's definition of meditation has no limits and no boundaries. For most, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the Word of God. AA cofounder Bill Wilson felt meditative knowledge from anywhere in the world could be valid.

It should be noted that AA apologist Dick B. has written numerous books and articles portraying AA and the 12 Steps as Biblical in origin.[4] This is a concern because Christians who join AA based on these erroneous claims may become involved in the very meditative practices this author minimizes.

In Standing Fast in the Last Days, Warren Smith describes his entrance into the occult. He recounts how a psychic, a woman who uncannily knew many details about him, told Smith the spirits on the other side needed his permission to work in his life. This is my AA Testimony

Who is my accuser? every time you go to a meeting you are defeated "Hello my name is -------I am an addict or alcoholic. Think of how cleverly devised Satan's scheme is here, you are never free you are always sick your always afflicted with Alcoholism. There is no cure!
Of course as one learns the word of God one quickly realizes this goes against the word of God ..how can that be? How can I have victory in Christ if im always condemming myself to failure.
Truth is truth..what is God mainly concerned with? Your soul. You may stumble you may fall but carry your cross follow him that is what we are called to do we are called to abide in Christ. Now if we are in this program you may be clean and sober but with a lost soul! Think about how many clean and sober hell bound people who just dont need anything but AA or NA . What a clever plan of Satan!
A true Follower of Jesus who reads scripture will begin to see the word of God.. and the workings of Na and AA the bible of AA begins to collide with your faith it is absolutley undeniable. Being in those rooms do not make any sense.
How in the world can your God (everybodys higherpower is different) and your God..a room full of Gods have the power to keep you clean and sober? Your God isn't real!
At the same time you have elders AA elders with a lot of sobriety or clean time but live wretched lives because their morals and Gods. Their Higher Power standards do not compare to the true Christ and true word of God. Here is where Satan's lies begin "that you will die if you dont do NA AA every day" and sponsor and volunteer and recruit people to live the AA NA way!
I was trapped between knowing truth and being told I was going to die if I didn't attend meetings work the steps volunteer and promote and sponsor. That I would relapse and die this is Satans lie and I believe it is a satanic brainwashing.

The Word of God says I am a new creature in Christ, that his strength is made perfect in my weakness. AA, NA tells me that I am never better I will always be an addict or alcoholic just a sober alcoholic; as long as I work the program and Listen to my sponsor or people with more clean time.Godly morals and standards are unknown and would be dismissed as long as you dont pick up a drink or use a drug. Imagine someone who doesnt know any morals and or any truths and this is who they look up to. Your sponsor also tells you if you dont show up to the meeting tomorrow you will have a very high posibility of relapsing in fact if your not in a meeting or working a step your in relapse mode church is not the answer or substitute for a meeting I cant even begin to give account of how many I know who go to meetings on Sunday morning instead of church. AA is thier bible and meeting is thier church.:

Imagine a bareley clean just out of rehab thrown into the meetings by law with no source of real truth and only knows the evils of drugs and alcohol Being clean and sober is the complete answer because jail is the whats next if they dont stay clean and attend meetings. Walks into the doors of these rooms and is told this is the only answer. Scared and afraid of the courts the judge and the old way of life, sick and tire and is in a room full of people that are clean and sober who begin to indoctrinate them into their morals depending on who you chose for a sponsor you and must choose someone. You must choose a God in order to work the steps and your pretty pressured by your counselor and courts to do this correctly or you will find yourself back in jail. If you dont know God then you borrow your sponsors God until you find your own.
This is Satanic Brain Washing! A common saying in almost every meeting is "I tried church i tried everything nothing works except these rooms. In the readings and at the end they say keep coming back it works if you work it and you die if you dont , so work it!
This is very very much a cult!!
I know today Im free, Christ has the power and that power is in me. Christ defeated all of our sins on the cross. Contrary to this AA and NA tell me I am powerless and the group is my power..
I am a new creature in Christ I am not an addict or Alcholic, when I excepted Jesus as Lord and Savior all was defeated and the power was in me. The lie from Satan is you have no power. This very power that is given to believers defeated Satan on the Cross. As long as Satan is alive and well we will be fighting our minds and we must be victorious it is in your mind where Satan is unleashing an all out war. The war we are fighting is not against flesh and blood. It is not a mental battle fought with our mental abilities..through the power of "positive thinking" or "Head knowledge"n Psychological techiniques or our limited natrual abilities or a " Higher power or a group power AA NA" It is a spiritual battle in our minds which must be fought and won by the power of the Holy Spirit working within us. All of the statagies Satan has developed and is using against us today are directed toward our minds. Satan doesnt want a Christian to have a free , clean healthy renewed victorius mind, by the way 1% stay clean after 20 years the success rate is that there is no success! Those room are a lie a clever devised lie a new age theology who Satan so cleverly worked to become a law if your caught up with courts you must attend those meetings as well as use our tax dollars to sway the masses away from the truth. Who is he fooling? Anyone who doesnt know truth that's who!!!
I am not an addict or an alcoholic I personally have never craved any drug since excepting the Lord as my savior. Yet was told I would never be free from addiction or alcoholism I was told I was powerless, I was told to keep coming back or I would die.
I will say this once and for anyone who think's they cannot stay clean and Sober with out those rooms...Satan get behind thee in jesus name.

I have never really understood the need to go to a group or to read some author's book when we have all the we need in the Word of God. I do realize that there are some who need help by seeking out a particular person to help them navigate the waters. But if that counselor isn't using the whole counsel of God to aid them, then it will not give them the freedom which is found in Christ alone. (Those requiring medical aid, of course, must seek that out, for God has provided that also, but that's a different situation.)

All I can say is God is perfect and just that if you truley are seeking him he find you and guide you into truth.
If your not seeking him then then the trapping of Satan lie in wait and seeking to devour in those rooms.

I agree that a lifelong belief and a lifelong labeling and admission that one is "an alcoholic" is a bit strange. In christianity, when one is delivered, they are delivered. They become a new creature in Christ and old things have passed away and all things are becoming new.

Once healed by Christ, a former alciholic is no longer an alcoholic.

AA is a co dependent organization.
