  • Delicious Pork & Pineapple w/Rice

This receipe is my own invention but probably done by others as well with variations.

I hardly ever measure - my measuring consists of a little of this and a little of that.

Anyway, below are the approximate amounts I used for this delicious dish. Adjust as you see fit.

    Hope you like and enjoy!

About 1/2 to 1 lb. Boneless Pork Loin - trim fat, cut into small bite size pieces
One small can pineapple - cut into small sections
    1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
One half lb. of Sour Cream - Use more for extra sauce - as desired
    1 tsp. Grey Poupon Mustard
    1/2 Cup chopped white onions
    2 tsps. Cooking Sherry
    1/2 tsp. of Parsley Flakes
    Salt & Pepper as desired
    1/4 tsp. dried dill
    Dash of garlic

Combine pork, onions, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, dried dill and brown in light olive oil combined with 2 tsps. butter

    Add remaining ingredients after browning

Cook on med. to low heat for 20 minutes

Serve on bed of pre-cooked white rice

That sounds soooo scrumptious. I love any meat dish with pineapple.

Would you say it is a mix of savory and sweet, or does it lean more one way?

Well, let's see how best to answer your about "savory and sweet" tart!

Actually though by adjusting ingredients you can have a strictly tart or sweet or bland dish. The combination of all the special flavors really make for a tasty eating experience - at least my hubby thought so.

You might want to experiment with the measurements.
