I am currently reading this book and so far I am feeling very blessed by it. It has comforted me immensly and I am starting to feel more and more anticipation for Jesus to please come and take us home NOW !!!
At times I was finding myself so grieved that I would be leaving this world behind - but through reading the book I am feeling comforted that I will be coming back to this place - only it will be even more beautifull than I find it now
I encourage anyone to read it.

It is back on my iPod and I will be re-listening to it ASAP...because I find it very hard to read and drive at the same time and have found that Police persons get quite huffy if you hold up traffic to look up words in the dictionary.

I just ordered the book today, based on everyone's recommendation.
        Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I have it checked out from the library right now, I'm about 8 chapters into it. So far, so good.

I have not read "Heaven" But I have read " the treasure principle" by randy alcorn, and it was an eye opener to say the least, I would highly recommend that book. It will change the way you think about giving.

I also read The Treasure Principle. On the basis of that and all the RR recommendations, I decided last night to order "Heaven."

I've started this book but haven't finished it. I'll have to start all over since it's been so long.

"Heaven" by Randy Acorn - Worth reading?

                  Hi all,

I've recently heard about this book "Heaven" by Randy Acorn. Now I don't read much, so forgive me if this has been out for many years now.

But my question.. is this worth taking a look at?

I only ask, because no one living has seen what Heaven is like, and I don't want to read a fantasy about a real place.

                  Thanks,
                  Chris

i listened to him when he was on with jan markell. he is pretty on, and he is pretty careful not to paint pictures that are not supported by scripture. just encourages us to keep looking up....and that heaven is our home.

Although I haven't read it myself, several members here have, and they highly recommend it.
I need to remember to check it out myself.

it is good although I have to confess I didn't read it cover to cover. Just picked out the parts I was curious about. It's a great reference tool. One of my 'keeper books.'

A big thumbs up from me - It's a great book. It gave me a lot of comfort and more of a sense of what we are looking forward too

I dont agree with all of what he says, but even that stuff is well-researched.
