  • Tax Reform: Restaurant Company Announces $20 Million Investment in Workforce, Visa to Boost Benefits

Shall this darkness and despair never relent? You already know that more than one million US workers have received tax reform-spurred bonuses, with at least 100 companies getting in on the act thus far, as even more corporations announcing new investment plans seemingly every day. We've covered the immediate fallout of the Republican tax law very closely, tracking the crimes against humanity wrought by this destructive Frankenstein monster. also known as the worst piece of legislation ever considered by Congress -- ranging from increased compensation, to enhanced hourly wages, to new hiring, to upgraded investments, to massive charitable contributions. Here is the latest atrocity, via the Darden restaurant group, which owns large national chains like Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse:

To be honest, I didn't think the Republican representatives were going to unite behind this bill. As with the healthcare bill, I figured that they'd fall a vote short on purpose. The only reason I can think of for the previously very high corporate taxes that were twice as high as much of the rest of the world's was to weaken our economy and entice corporations to move overseas, which they've done in droves.

Historically, we've probably got about the best workforce in the USA and with the now competitive corporate tax rate we should see an economic boom within our borders. And, a lot of that money that's been held overseas will likely make its way back to our own shores and into our own banks and other financial firms.

Getting rid of the obamacare individual mandate beginning in 2019 pulls the rug out from under obamacare.

This tax law should go far in making America great again, and will set the globalists back a long ways in their goal of bringing the USA to its knees. The law and other good things that President Trump will accomplish for us won't change what's coming, nor change the timing of what's coming, but it's nice to have a President in office who is neither a globalist nor an enemy of our country. It's been a long time...

After Rejecting Tax Cuts, Liberal Congressmen Looking for Bail Out Before Fall Elections

Liberal Democrats, panicked over voters’ responses to their anti-tax relief agenda, now want the federal government to subsidize quick political victories for them in November. The fear is that taxpayers will realize that the Trump tax plan is a tax cut and not a tax hike as Democrats have been saying.

After telling us for years that avoiding taxes was unpatriotic, Democrats in high-tax states are now pushing Washington bailout schemes so their rich constituents can pay less. The truth is that the Trump tax plan will create pressure on high tax states to lower taxes, creating a win-win proposition for middle class taxpayers of high state and local taxes like New Jersey, New York and California.

'Tax Scam' Pain: Energy Providers Slash Utility Bills, New Bonuses Unveiled, Company Reverses Decision to Exit US

How can these ****** Republicans live with themselves? They've passed a devastating tax scam law that cuts taxes for 80 percent of all Americans, including 91 percent of the middle class, while bringing America's strikingly uncompetitive outlier of a corporate rate in line with the rest of the developed world. And as a result, companies are passing down their anticipated and significant benefits to employees, customers and shareholders. In other words, it's an ongoing waking nightmare. And the frightful details keep washing ashore, tormenting the American people with each passing hour. For instance, here's a major power company announcing that it will provide tax reform-inspired vouchers to help lower customers' costs:

Another Company The Left Loves to Attack Raises Wages, Gives Major Bonuses to Parents Who Adopt

Early Thursday morning, Walmart and Sam's Club announced wages will be increased for workers, that paid maternal and parental leave is being expanded and bonuses are being sent out after the passage of tax reform. They're also giving $5000 to workers who adopt a child.

In a letter to workers of the company, CEO Doug McMillon further explained the benefits of the tax plan.

"We’ve got some really good news to share today. As you know, the President and Congress have approved a lower business tax rate. Given these changes, we have an opportunity to accelerate a few pieces of our investment plan. We plan to continue investing in you, in our customers through lower prices, and in our future--especially in technology to help improve your jobs and the experience for our customers," McMillon wrote. "So, we’re pleased to tell you that we’re raising our starting wage to $11 an hour for Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club, Supply Chain, eCommerce and Home Office hourly associates effective in February."

Doomsday Tax Bill Prompts ExxonMobil, Honeywell To Repatriate Billions, Boost 401ks

The tax reform package that President Donald Trump signed into law last December has left a trail of destruction in its wake—and by destruction, I mean a better job creating and investing climate. Over 250 companies have doled out bonuses to over three million workers. Employee investment has increased, 401k matches have gone up, philanthropic giving boosted, and it’s all because of Trump’s tax bill, which the Left said would bring about the next apocalypse. Over 90 percent of middle class Americans stand to benefit from this tax bill. Sounds like good news to me.
