It's 236 testimonies of individuals in their dying hours. Of course we can't know anyone's eternal position except our own, but from the testimonies it seems that the true believers don't seem to worry at all about dying (some even sing hymns ) whereas the unbelievers are troubled and tormented. I get choked up when I read the testimonies of the dying believers because while it's sad that they're leaving behind friends and family, it's happy that they're joyously entering into the presence of Jesus.

    fl2007rn, that's an amazing story.

When my father died, we had been playing scripture through his headphones for him for 4 days while he was in a coma. On the morning he went to be with the Lord, after not moving for all those days, he patted DH's leg whilst we were washing him as if to say thank you (we'd cared for him for 3 years) He seemed to know he was going . We went straight from his death to hospital in another county where DH's mum was dying grom renal failure. She kept sitting up saying "Cheerio" to anyone who came in the room. She was very distressed all night & we asked my father in law if he'd prayed for the Lord to take her, but he said he couldn't. Finally by luchtime the follwoing day, she was saying to him "Let me go, John, let me go." Finally he asked her if she wanted to go to the Lord & said she wshould go to Him. She sat forward & said "I'm going I'm going I'm going" with her arms out stretched.
After those 2 experiences I know we are taken into the arms of the Lord when we die.
In contrast, out unsaved neighbour just died screaming saying "No No No!" just awful.
For Thou art my hope, Oh Lord God Psalm 71:5
Being confident of this very thing, that He who hath begun a good work in you, will perform it to the day of the Lord Philippians 1:6
