Seems to me the Flood would have thrown the babes out of there nest (if it were a wave of water). My guess is that a mudslide/sandslide caused by the heavy rains overtook them and then the floods came...??? I would think many were overtaken by the flood waters. Interesting to ponder, but the flood was definitely the root cause.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.... There's a reason that most ancient cultures have worldwide flood legends, you know. I remember in our Spanish class we had to read a legend similar to a lot of things...about people who encountered a giant serpent, which spat water out of its mouth until the whole world was flooded, the people had to flee to a lone mountaintop, they would send out a dove to see if there was any dry land anywhere, and when they finally descended they all magically spoke different languages. Now THAT'S a lot of stories in one legend.

Fortunately the Holy Spirit revealed the truth on these matters or else it would be one big answerless mystery lost to time.

These shells were obviously killed in such a swift and overwhelming manner, that they could not open upon death. If you explore the Rocky Mountains, there are sea shells here and there as well. Some are in the open position, but many are closed. This is further proof to me that the Rockies were under water for a period of time, long enough for sea shells to accumulate on them. I am a FIRM believer that the Flood was so devastating and so overwhelming in its totality, we won't truly have an understanding of all its effects until after we are Raptured.
Interesting about the shells--had no idea about that. I can only imagine what is found in the Rockies. I've read numerous articles about Sea "life" being found up in the Himalayan Mountains in Northern India/Tibet. I also used to live in Northern Mexico--where the altitude is about 5,000 feet. Driving down to my cousins ranch through the desert, you cannot help but notice near the tips of these desert type mountains (not fully stone) a clear line on every single mountain that looks like it was an old water-line, as if they were underwater for some extended period with just the peaks exposed. It'll be amazing what we'll learn post-rapture. Gosh, hope my immortal brain will be able to file away all of the information without me forgetting!
John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

A theory I have heard about Dinosaurs on the ark is that dino's actually were on the ark but due to the effects of the flood they weren't able to live as long. You see, reptiles never stop growing and with the living conditions before the flood, they were able to live for hundreds of years and get as large as the fossils that we find today. What has been discussed that Noah actually did bring 2 of each type of animal and when it came to dinos he brought the young instead of the very old (which anyone would have done).

All the ancient cultures believed in a world wide flood, they are just wrong about who caused it. Epic of Gilgamesh and the mayans have legends that describes it. In the deserts of Utah there's all kinds of fossilized sealife, what do scientists think about that? Come on the evidence is right in your face they just don't want to believe it.

That is a very interesting theory I will have to read more about it, stuff like that always fascinates me!

Someone came to our church this summer and did a lesson called "Dinomania" which explained how this worked and explained how fossilization is actually a very fast process (my favorites were the fossilized hats in the US and fossilized fish that were inside other fossilized fish and how the flood made it happen.)

There was a book that was sold at the church when the guy visited. It has other good theory's like the hydroplate theory to explain the flood.

From what I've gathered Noah DID bring dinosaurs on the ark. The only thing is as time went on they didn't get a big as the had during the pre-flood era because the atmosphere and everything had changed and there was no longer the required amount of atmospheric pressure and time, also the increase of solar radiation caused them to get smaller and smaller with each generation. Another large contributor to their disappearance was that they were hunted and killed by humans for food.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn... Isaiah 54.17

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
                    Psalm 91:7-8

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
                    Romans 8:31

Perhaps the experts found velociraptor fossils clutching half-eaten bulbs of garlic...?

                          Two things about preflood dinosaurs

One Reptiles continually grow as long as they are alive, so this explains the size of many, and Noah may have brought Juvenile reptiles on board to conserve space.

I believe the scientific community know more about the existance of some of these since certain Islands that are tropical in nature have very little movie footage showing the Islands animals and especially the Reptiles.

Madagascar is one for example where they show very little of what is there and they seem to cautious to me about letting the cameras have any aerial views. Many of the Islands that are tropical near Asia have very little movie footage of them. The biggest thing shown is the monitor Lizard and the only reason I believe they show that is to claim a left over of the dinosaurs that has evolved to a smaller size.

It is likely all of the Dinosaurs were on board the Ark as Juveniles and many of them did not survive due to climate change, food supply, and the age they now would only live to. IMHO

Genesis 6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
