Jordan King Abdullah: Israel playing with fire in east Jerusalem

Israel is "playing with fire" by continuing construction in east Jerusalem and attempting to change the identity of the holy city, King Abdullah II of Jordan said.

"We have warned repeatedly that Israel is playing with fire and Jordan rejects and condemns all actions aimed at changing the identity of Jerusalem, emptying it of its Arab inhabitants, both Christian and Muslim," the King said in an interview with a major newspaper in Jordan. "East Jerusalem should be the capital of an independent Palestinian state which must be established ASAP," said Abdullah.

It would behoove the King of Jordan to read in Gods Word whats coming his way. He thinks Israel is "playing with fire", he should read the destruction thats coming to his nation in Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 25.

King Abdullah has been a "person of interest" IMO for awhile now. I started paying attention to all news about him a couple years ago.

For those who talk about the destruction coming to his country...isn't Jordan the general area of where Israel will flee during the tribulation and doesn't Daniel say it's the one area that won't come under the rule of the AC.??

Daniel 11:41 "He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand."

                  Isaiah 17:2 - Jordan
2.The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

(Aroer is a region on the northern bank of the Arnon River in what is today Jordan. In Moses day, it marked the southern boundary of the territory given to the two and a half tribes who received their land inheritance on the east side of the Jordan River. Aroer was in the territory of Reuben. There was another Aroer in the territory of Gad, near Rabbah. Rabbah is today called Amman, capital of Jordan.)

“The cities of Aroer are forsaken “ they are gone. The "flocks that will lie down " in safety - with Damascus, Amman, PA and other surrounding enemies gone, they, "the flocks" - the Israeli's, will feel "safe", in their small portion of reclaimed ancient land once more."none shall make them afraid", because they're gone! The Believing Remnants flee to Jordan at the Mid-Trib.

Could you explain your understanding of Daniel 11:41 please? I'm not saying I don't agree with you...just how can they be delivered from the hand of the anti-Christ if they don't exist by then? It seems as though it isn't just referring to land here, but also people by the phrase "the leaders of Amman".

Bek1, your skipping ahead to the Trib. Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38 will occur prior to the Trib. There is not a simple answer to your question. It alone is an indepth study, and we are presently discussing Isaiah 17 as the next event. Jack Kelly has an interesting commentary to your question for you to read.

These people don't know -- or realize -- Who they are messing with.

They'll realize soon enough -- when they come face to face with the original "bottled sunshine" courtesy of the One Who made it in the first place.

Yep, it's like watching someone smoke while fueling their car. All you can do is whince.

It will not be pretty when the consequences finally arrive. Not pretty at all.
