He should NOT be representing conservatives in the media
Rush represents Conservatives because he is (normally) an articulate spokesman for our issues and beliefs. This, imho, is why he is so despised by many, particularly those on the left.

While your "facts" above, I don't think are completely true, I will acknowledge that Rush is certainly a flawed individual, but it is not his personal character that makes him popular.

I have always, and will always take Rush with a grain of salt, but I will continue to listen to him.

RUSH does NOT represent Christian values. He's gross and slimy, and perverted, and a horrendous hypocrite. He should NOT be representing conservatives in the media, but the media is worthless and completely corrupted on both sides.
Most of what you posted is absolutely rubbish! He is not gross and slimy nor perverted. Evidently you haven't listened to him long enough to know what his stance is on anything. I propose you do that before you slander and resort to this hideous name calling about him.

Finally, someone intelligent here. A day without Rush is a blue day. Those on the left hate him. That is good because he dishes it to them!!!

This isn't to excuse Rush's moral failures mind you. Adultery vs fornication is sin vs sin.

I personally felt that was something worth making clear though. It was a baseless assumption on my part. Rush is still plenty messed up, but not as bad as I had figured in this instance.

It really does seem though the fundamental conservative radio giants keep shooting themselves in the face in regard to their personal witness, and that's very sad. It makes their testimony of the facts ineffectual and weak, regardless of how much truth there is to it.

I understand myself Rush isn't a Christian and that he's not on the air to deliver a salvation message to anyone (though for his sake I pray that might change someday soon), much less expected to lead a Christian life.

But he is indeed one of the more prominient conservative talking heads and things like his trip to the Dominican Republic do give occasion to his enemies.

The liberal socialists are hypocrites and practicers of all kinds of wickedness themselves mind you, but they're quick in calling the kettle black.
Rush has been married three times, not four. Yes, Rush is saved. He has made confessions of faith in Jesus Christ several times in the years that I have been listening to him AND WILL CONTINUE TO LISTEN TO HIM.

I think we need to be careful about how we speak of people as we are Christians.

I like how you completely disregarded my post to you and did not address anything I said to you. Instead you go on the attack of Rush Limbaugh.

FACT: They were pain-killers due to a back injury, happens to a lot of people that have injuries, these types of drugs are very easy to get hooked on. How Christian of you to judge.

Fact: Rush and a bunch of other single male millionaires flew back in a private jet from a tiny country known for sex slavery, with Rush in possession of illegal Viagra. That is 'slutty' behavior. HYPOCRITE
Please provide your proof that he was there for sex slavery. All that occurred was his Viagra was found in his bag. Was he there for nefarious reasons, maybe, but there is no proof of this. Again, you are judging because you severely dislike Rush, you don't have facts. I find your accusations very telling.

Fact: This Fluke woman, Rush said this of her, ON THE AIR: "we want you to post the (sex) videos online so we can watch". CREEPY, PERVERTED.

              Lots of name calling here...

Did you listen to the show, yes or no? I seriously doubt it. Sounds like you like leftist media and like to regurgitate what they tell you.

The words you posted about the video was not what was said, it was a mockery of what was being portrayed as legitimate testimony. Her testimony was akin to showing the world her sex-life. Comments like this about a video is called tongue-in-cheek.

What I see in this post is hatred... Not a very good witness here.

No one on here said he was a Christian, that is not even the topic, so now you do a typical liberal debating tactic, deflect the argument and attack. Your comment about Fox news women was creepy and disgusting especially considering you don't know the facts. You did exactly what you blame Rush for, who is the hypocrite now? You show here that you are upset because I busted you on being ignorant about this debate.

Go back and address what I said about this issue being a First Amendment rights restriction due to the fact that Protestant colleges will now be forced to pay for the abortion pill. Are you okay with that Out? This is the crux of the issue, not what a guy on a radio show said about a college student, but you have taken the bait the liberal media wanted you to take while our religious liberties are being stripped away.

If I want conservative philosophy without the hypocrisy I stick to the writings of the likes of the Heritage Foundation and the CATO Institute. Honestly, talk radio is a sewer on both the right and the left.
Your hatred of Rush is palpable. There is no need to get this bent out of shape because of his alleged morals. If you cannot tolerate him, do not listen to him. I don't. But, to start flinging his sins on this thread is serving no purpose other than to make you seem as if you cannot stand him. You do not have to put up with him. He is a fallen creature just as you are. Why the extreme anger?

What is more important, in my mind, is to preserve the broadcasting of different viewpoints in this country. If he is silenced, that is one less person who shares anything to do with Conservatism.

Like I said, if you cannot stand to listen, then don't. But.......flinging the sins of Rush on this forum is not helping the cause of Conservatives.....not that anything on this planet can solve all the issues.....but, we must preserve the ability to expound different points of view in this country. It's a must, or our freedom will be curtailed. We cannot allow the Liberals to silence him by intimidating his sponsers into withdrawing, and generating a hate campaign against his program. We must be allowed to present differing viewpoint in this country. If we don't allow differing viewpoints then we can kiss our freedom goodbye.

Hopefully, Rush will take this lesson to heart. He will learn from it, but still be able to articulate the Conservative viewpoint. That's what I pray for him.

You know that anger and hatred toward another fellow sinner is not what Christ would want of you, right? How about realizing that the more important issue is the freedom of our U.S. citizens to conscientiously object to having the government forcing its morals on others?
i.e. "you must pay for birth control for anyone who asks for it"

Instead of losing your cool about Rush, how about losing your cool over a government that wants to force its morality on everyone, even if the action goes against an organization's moral conscience? I call that tyranny, and to me, that is more important than getting extremely upset about Rush's supposed sinful behavior.

                    Out Of The Box
Answer me this....What would you like to see happen with regards to birth control? Are you a U.S. citizen? Would you like the U.S. to dictate to others that birth control must be covered by a company's insurance policy, even if it is morally objectionable to them? Please answer me so I will know what your opinion is. Thank you.

This is also what Rush said about the Fluke woman

The extent of the Fluke deception is becoming clearer by the day, as revealed by Jammie Wearing Fools:
For me the interesting part of the story is the ever-evolving "coed". I put that in quotes because in the beginning she was described as a Georgetown law student. It was then revealed that prior to attending Georgetown she was an active women's right advocate. In one of her first interviews she is quoted as talking about how she reviewed Georgetown's insurance policy prior to committing to attend, and seeing that it didn't cover contraceptive services, she decided to attend with the express purpose of battling this policy. During this time, she was described as a 23-year-old coed. Magically, at the same time Congress is debating the forced coverage of contraception, she appears and is even brought to Capitol Hill to testify. This morning, in an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, it was revealed that she is 30 years old, NOT the 23 that had been reported all along.
In other words, folks, you are being played. She has been an activist all along and the Dems were just waiting for the appropriate time to play her.

Correct. She wasn't even allowed to testify in the actual hearings because she wasn't an expert in anything, so the Dem's held a press conference that looked like the hearings.

This whole issue was manufactured and designed for the government to take away liberties. They knew people would debate this instead of the actual issue, religious institutions being forced to do as the government tells them, especially, if it is against their beliefs. All designed to destroy first amendment rights, just like Fast and Furious was designed to destroy second amendment rights.

It is sort of an absurd stretch, but he was by no means insulting all women who use contraception.

Although that is the conclusion that the left wants the public to draw with this contrived issue. There are very few people on the right who want to in any way outlaw contraception. If I don't want to buy you a hamburger, I am not stopping you from eating one.

As someone who has worked in Women's Health Clinics that were supported by federal tax dollars and private donations, I still do find it insulting. We had a variety of women who came to us for birth control who were hard-working women without health coverage and we offered them free or reduced cost services. Those are the types of women who I feel Limbaugh insulted. If only women with good health care coverage (rich or middle class) can afford birth control, we are just reinforcing the cycle of poverty in these families that can't afford coverage. Poor working women can't get access to bc, have more babies than they can reliably take care of, go on welfare and their children grow up in the system. These aren't "sluts" or "prostitutes", just women who are looking for the best chances. I'm not saying the "sluts" didn't exist in our system, but you can't cherry pick who your patients are.

I agree that whatever my personal conviction is on using birth control, I feel it should be readily available for those who feel the need to use it. I am Libertarian in that respect that what goes on in your bedroom is between you, your partner and God.

Correct. He is now currently on a 4th wife, with three divorces behind him. Did I say that wrong in my previous post? If I did, I'm sorry.

Lots of people say they're Christians and that claim isn't always true. You'll know them by their fruits. Telling it how it is isn't wrong. I don't have a dog in this argument. I don't know Rush personally and I've not passed judgment on him beyond following the facts where they've lead me.

I trust I've done that in good faith.

I'm not looking for something to hang the man over and up until I started really looking into him, I was and still am an advocate for Rush's right to speak out against nonsense. I have a different opinion concerning his personal character then when I began, but the issue at hand hasn't changed as a result (no matter how much the liberal socialist hypocrites wished that were the case.)

Rush made a valid point no matter how poor his choice of words might have been.

Concerning his Christianity (or lack thereof) and his personal life, if he is indeed a Christian, then he's the one that has to answer to God for his questionable living. If he isn't, he better take himself to the cross sometime soon and I saw fit to have prayed for him to that end.

You're free yourself to listen or follow whoever you like. That's your prerogative. Be careful who you listen to and who you follow.

True libertarianism means no government in private life, period. So, that means no tax payer funded birth control. That said, birth control is readily available without the government.

Conservatives do believe in what goes on in your bedroom is between you and God, that is the exact opposite this woman displayed in her testimony. Also, anyone that is a little informed understands there are organizations out there that provide birth control for those that have trouble affording it, so, that is part of the point of this, why was this testimony necessary? Why is this being debated?? Simple, government wants control.
