        • Mormonism= Dead man walking!

          This would have to be the best analogy I can think of for Mormonism. When the condemmed prisoner is escorted to the gallows it was common to have someone call out "Dead man walking".

          With the advances in DNA research, archeology, historical documentation, online databases and Bible apopogetics that properly disclose true doctrine it is a wonder that there is a single Mormon left. Joseph Smith has been proven to be a false prophet so many times it defies logic.

          This only underscores the level of deception and dispair that a Mormon must be under. So many God seeking good people led to destruction by a false doctrine that enslaves them. Family and social pressure to conform to a failed theology that the mind cannot rejoice in must eat at their very core. Contradictions in too many places, failed prophets, handy revelations under political pressure, re-written white-washed history, the list goes on and on.

          To any Mormon seekers out there: There is truth and rest to be found in the true Jesus. Don't let the failure of Mormonism's man made system ruin your search for God. He is waiting for you. Even if you feel that you must stay rooted in your current social circle to survive in this world PLEASE, just admit in your heart that Jesus is the Lord, God became man, given to the world so that they may be saved by his sacrifice alone. If you know and admit this in your heart, YOU ARE SAVED!

          Let go of the false doctrine of Jesus being the brother of satan, let go of Kolob, let go of all of the progression to your own godhood doctrines, it is all a lie made to keep you from a God that loves you. Set yourself free to know the real GOD!

          Knowing the Bible to be the true word of God and finding the real Christ in it is a journey that will lead you to a heart that is filled with joy, a mind that can find order and peace, and an eternal life as a child of God. Do not fear to know this truth. Every system of man made worship has EXTRA- BIBLICAL WRITINGS that lead to apostasy and works that add or take away from the true God-breathed word of God. Mormonism is just another one of many attempts of Satan to turn your eye from the true nature of God and Jesus. If you deny His nature (Jesus), satan has won you over.

          Lord I pray for the Mormon people, help them to see the way out of the labrinth of deception. Place their trust in you, a God that is knowable and loving who is waiting for them to come to you. Lord please release them into your hands and start their journey into a new life with you as their God. A God who shows himself in three ways Father, Son and Holy Spirit who is one Holy God.
          Lord I also ask for you to give them the power to trust in you and to find a new faith in you and your word. I also ask for you to protect the ones who seek for you so their hearts may be comforted by your loving Spirit.

          I ask this in the name of your son who gave his life so that we may live, Jesus the Christ, the Lamb of God.

          Amen

          Please, if you are in the LDS church and have questions, just ask. I will try to answer you. If I can't somebody here will. We love you and want to spend an eternity with you and the Lord in his kingdom praising Him alone. Don' let another day go by without finding Jesus because the time is short and he is at the door knocking, waiting for you to answer. Christ is just who he said he was and the way is clear, He is the way the truth and the life and all must go through Christ to get to God. This means that you must know who He is and not some clever substitute. The nature of a Holy and singular God cannot be denied if you are to find salvation. Turn to him and you shall be saved. Let him sort out the rest of your worries about family, work, money and all of the rest. He will give you real peace.

          Please consider it, the time is short.

          Peace

          Jeff

          • The Book of Mormon

            I have a question....I don't read anything, but the bible because I love God so much and I don't want to offend him....but I watching a movie...and I didn't realize it, but it ended up being about a family who knew the man who wrote the book of mormon...what is this book about? what does it say? I know that it IS NOT from God...in the bible, it says to add nothing and take nothing away from it, so I know that this is a false book....but I'm curious as to what it says...just like I was curious about the quoran...I don't and will never believe it, but I just wanted to know what is so different about it...did this man say that God gave him more to add to the bible? ...or did he rewrite the bible? I believe that the devil has angels...and these angels fooled him into thinking it was from God....the same with the quran...the devil will do anything to get people away from the bible...anyway, what do mormons believe...what is different about the book of mormon? thanks!

            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
            I found a very good web site that stated what the difference is between the bible and the book of mormon...
            The devil never gives up! It saddens my heart that so many people believe in this garbage... I pray that God will show them that the bible is the only truth!
            Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
            • I'll do my best and will probably be corrected on some things. Joseph Smith was given a "revelation" from an "angel" and wrote it down on some plates. Joseph Smith is the "prophet" of mormonism and the book of mormon came from this new "revelation". The mormons think they are Jews (the tribe of nephtali or something like that). The Holy Land is actually in america. They believe that they are gods or will be and that people came from "spirit children" from outer space. There's some made up planet involved in all of this as well. They believe Jesus and satan are brothers (real brothers not spiritual brothers or anything like that)....and oh so much more.
              You might do better to look in the apostacy section where there are lots of threads on mormons and their beliefs........they are not Christians, they are followers of a false prophet and "another gospel" even though they want everyone to think they believe in the One True Jesus. Their book is full of unbiblical and antichrist theology.
                Yeah, I did a google search one time on it and it pretty much said about the same thing you are saying. I don't want anything to do with this religion.
                  You're correct Dramama, except Mormon doctrine states Joseph Smith was visited from an "angel of light" and it's interesting that Mohammad, the "prophet" of Islam (Muslim), also received his revelation from an "angel of light".
                  2 Cor. 11:14 states:
                  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
                  I pray for all devotees to both of these "religions," as they are being lead by false prophets. Both "religions" preach a different gospel than that of the Bible.
                  Gal. 1:8 states:
                  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
                  Both "prophets" have also prophesized that which has NOT come true;
                  Deut. 18:21-22
                  And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22) When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
                  Both Mormons and Muslims add words to the Bible and take words away from the Bible in their "doctrines," Rev. 22:18-20
                  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book. 20) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
                  We as Christians, need not be afraid of them...we need to pray for them.
                    I didn't realize how off the wall they were....I just thought it was a man who added his interperatation of the bible....I didn't realize how crazy it was....in the movie....Smith actually talked to God and Jesus....I would have run for the hills...because I would have known it was the devil!! ....because I know that after Jesus rose from the dead NOTHING more needed to be done.... why would they come to a man 100's of years later and tell him to change the bible? this man must have been crazy....
                    • And, I'd like to add what I know about the Mormons.............they have the "original" group of mormons, called the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints, which is the group that believes and participates in plural marriage and they push the young girls, some as young as 12, 13, 14, into marriage with an OLD man. In my opinion these men are nothing but pedophiles and justify it by their religion.
                      This is the group in Texas now, that 400 children got taken away from the parents, and so much trouble going on over it.
                      They have groups also living out in Colorado, Utah, etc.
                      They are the original OLD group..........the later, more, modern mormons split away from the FLDS group when plural marriage was outlawed, but the FLDS still participate in it.
                      Some families have many many children and and have to be on government assistance to feed all of them.
                      I recently read the book by the woman who was forced into marriage by Warren Jeffs, at 14, to her first cousin. She is the one who helped bring Warren Jeffs to justice and he's in jail right now. He was charged with being an accessory to rape, several times.
                      You should read the book...............this woman suffered so much abuse and horror, that the rest of us never have to go thru.
                      She's an amazing lady...............she got out of that group, is married now and has 2 children, and she and her husband do not believe in plural marriage.
                      She never said what religion she is now, but she said they are staying close to God. Hopefully, it's the RIGHT God.
                      The book is "Stolen Innonence".
                      Nothing but child abuse and rape is what these young girls have to go thru.
                            • Mormon Beliefs, are they Christian?
                              http://www.carm.org/lds/mormon_beliefs.htm
                              There's a lot of discussion about Mormon beliefs. So, in order to make this easy, I will list out what Mormonism actually teaches quickly and easily. These are not sensationalized, and inaccurate statements.
                              Following documentation from Mormon authors. Finally, please understand that the Mormon Church uses Christian terms but has radically changed the meanings of those terms. So, when it says that Mormons belief in the father the son and the Holy Spirit, they really saying they believe in a God from another planet, with a goddess wife, who literally as the father of Jesus, and that there is a spirit being, of the Holy Ghost, and is another God.
                              These are Mormon beliefs
                              The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, known as the Mormons, teaches that God the father used to be a man on another planet, that he became a God by following the laws and ordinances of that God on that planet and came to this world with his wife (she became a goddess), and that they produce a spirit offspring in heaven. These spirit offspring, which includes Jesus, the devil, and you and me, are all brothers and sisters born in the preexistence. The preexistence spirits come down and inhabit babies at the time of birth and their memories of the preexistence are lost at the time. Furthermore, faithful Mormons, who pay a full 10% tithe of their income to the Mormon church and go through a Mormon temples, have the potential of becoming gods of their own planets and are then able to start the procedure over again.
                              Is it Christian? No.
                              If you were to go to any Christian bookstore and look in the non-Christian cult section you will see numerous books on Mormonism that document Mormon beliefs as aberrant and un-Biblical. The Mormon Church is not considered a Christian church.
                              This is not simply an opinion that they are false. It is a fact that they teach abberant and unchristian theology. In fact, Jesus warned us about such groups when he said in Matthew 24:24 that in the last days many false Christs and false prophets will arise and deceive many. Mormonism is exactly that, a manifestation of a false prophet: Joseph Smith, who taught all these things.
                              The Bible does not teach that God came to another planet, or that he has a goddess wife, or that we can become gods. In fact, the Bible clearly and definitely contradicts those teachings. But, Mormon Church responds by saying that the Bible is not really trustworthy, that the true faith was lost, and that its leader, Joseph Smith, restored the so-called "true" Christian faith: god from another world, becoming gods, goddess mother, etc. Of course, the Mormon Church's claim is not true.
                              One question to ask the Mormon Church as a whole is why is it that it does not appoint a representative to publicly debate and answer the challenges of competent Christians who know not only the Bible, but what Mormonism teaches? Why is it that the Mormon Church refuses to have open dialogue and appoint a representative who would attempt to defend the LDS teachings from the Bible? Why does it refuse to do this? I believe it is because it doesn't want to be made to look bad.
                              Mormon Beliefs documented
                              Please note that these teachings are documented from Mormon writers, not anti-Mormon writers.
                              1. Book of Mormon
                              * The book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible, (History of the Church, 4:461.)
                              2. The Devil
                              * The Devil was born as a spirit after Jesus "in the morning of pre-existence," (Mormon Doctrine, page 192.)
                              * Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163.)
                              3. God
                              * God used to be a man on another planet, Mormon Doctrine, p. 321. Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, Vol 5, pp. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, Vol 2, p. 345, Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333.)
                              8 "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as mans..." (D&C 130:22).
                              4. God, becoming a god
                              * After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god, (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pages 345-347, 354.)
                              * "Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them," (DC 132:20).
                              5. God, many gods
                              * There are many gods, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163.)
                              * "And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light: and there was light (Book of Abraham 4:3)
                              6. God, mother goddess
                              * There is a mother god, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443.)
                              * God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children, (Mormon Doctrine p. 516.)
                              7. God, Trinity
                              * The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35.)
                              8. Heaven
                              * There are three levels of heaven: telestial, terrestrial, and celestial, Mormon Doctrine, p. 348.
                              9. The Holy Ghost
                              * The Holy Ghost is a male personage, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, (Le Grand Richards, Salt Lake City, 1956, page 118; Journal of Discources, Vol. 5, page 179.)
                              10. Jesus
                              * "Therefore we know that both the Father and the Son are in form and stature perfect men; each of them possesses a tangible body . . . of flesh and bones." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 38).
                              * "The birth of the Saviour was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and blood - was begotten of his Father, as we were of our fathers." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 8: p. 115).
                              * "Elohim is literally the Father of the spirit of Jesus Christ and also of the body in which Jesus Christ performed His mission in the flesh ..." (First Presidency and Council of the Twelve, 1916, God the Father, compiled by Gordon Allred, pg. 150). ( )
                              11. Joseph Smith
                              * If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation [the context is the full gospel including exaltation to Godhood] outside the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 670.) ( )
                              12. Pre-existence
                              * We were first begotten as spirit children in heaven and then born naturally on earth, (Journal of Discourse, Vol. 4, p. 218.)
                              * The first spirit to be born in heaven was Jesus, (Mormon Doctrine, page 129.)
                              * The Devil was born as a spirit after Jesus "in the morning of pre-existence," (Mormon Doctrine, page 192.)
                              13. Salvation
                              * "One of the most fallacious doctrines originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of God; that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation." (Miracle of Forgiveness, Spencer W. Kimball, p. 206.)
                              * A plan of salvation was needed for the people of earth so Jesus offered a plan to the Father and Satan offered a plan to the father but Jesus' plan was accepted. In effect the Devil wanted to be the Savior of all Mankind and to "deny men their agency and to dethrone god." (Mormon Doctrine, page 193; Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, page 8.)
                              * Jesus' sacrifice was not able to cleanse us from all our sins, (murder and repeated adultery are exceptions), (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, p. 247, 1856.)
                              * Good works are necessary for salvation, Articles of Faith, p. 92.)
                              * There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God, (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, p. 188.)
                              * "The first effect [of the atonement] is to secure to all mankind alike, exemption from the penalty of the fall, thus providing a plan of General Salvation. The second effect is to open a way for Individual Salvation whereby mankind may secure remission of personal sins (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 78-79.)
                              * "As these sins are the result of individual acts it is just that forgiveness for them should be conditioned on individual compliance with prescribed requirements -- 'obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.'" (Articles of Faith p. 79).
                              * "This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expended their own best efforts" (LDS Bible Dictionary, p. 697).
                              * "We know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do," (2 Nephi 25:23).
                              14. The Trinity
                              * The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35.)
